This policy explains how 127QC handles your information when you browse the site, subscribe to the newsletter, contact us or support the project.
Who is responsible?
127QC is an independent project managed by Pascal Cabana. For questions or requests about personal information, contact the Privacy Officer — 127QC at info@127qc.com.
Information collected and its purposes
- Newsletter: your email address is used to send 127QC articles and updates. Your preferred language determines the language of messages. An optional riding preference allows updates about the area you wish to follow. It is neither proof of residence nor an indication of your political choice.
- Subscription: records of registration, consent and unsubscribe requests help manage the list and respect your preferences.
- Messages: when you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include to respond and handle your request.
- Operation and security: the hosting provider and services loaded by your browser may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested pages and request times.
- Contributions: Stripe processes the information needed for payments. Transaction information available to 127QC is used to manage contributions and meet accounting obligations.
Choosing to subscribe
Browsing the site does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Registration takes place in the Sender form. You can browse without subscribing or selecting a riding. Subscription information is used for the 127QC newsletter, not to build a profile of your political views.
You can withdraw consent to emails at any time using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Unsubscribing stops messages; it does not necessarily erase consent and withdrawal records needed to respect your choice.
Services used
- Sender provides the form, manages the list and sends newsletters. The external form loads when you click the button to display it. Your browser then communicates with the provider; information you enter is submitted to it when you subscribe. Sender privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts and provides technical protection for the site. Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Stripe provides payment pages linked from “Support the project”. The payment form is hosted by Stripe; card numbers are not entered in a form hosted by 127QC. Stripe privacy policy.
These providers and their subcontractors may process information outside Quebec and Canada, where privacy rules may differ. 127QC does not sell or rent its subscriber list. Disclosure may also be necessary to meet a legal obligation.
Cookies and email measurement
The site does not carry behavioural advertising. External services you choose to load may use cookies, security mechanisms or similar technologies. You can manage cookies in your browser, which may limit some external features.
Sender offers open and click measurement. Depending on campaign settings, tracking images and redirected links may report an opening or click and associate it with your subscription. These measurements do not establish that a person read an email. To ask about measurement used in a particular message, contact info@127qc.com. Blocking remote images can limit open measurement but does not necessarily prevent click measurement.
Retention and protection
Subscription information is retained while you are subscribed, according to newsletter needs. After you unsubscribe, only information still needed to respect your withdrawal, retain evidence of consent or meet legal obligations should be retained. Messages and transaction records are retained according to processing needs and applicable obligations. Information that is no longer needed must be deleted or lawfully anonymized.
Access should be restricted to people and providers who need it for these purposes. Connections to the site use HTTPS. No service can guarantee absolute security; concerns can be reported to our contact address.
Your requests and rights
You may request access, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion, subject to applicable retention obligations. You may also request a copy of computerized information in a structured format where the legal conditions are met.
Send requests or complaints to info@127qc.com, preferably from the email address concerned. We may request details needed to verify your identity and process the request. If a concern remains, you can contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
Changes
The date above indicates the latest revision. Significant changes to the use of your information will be brought to your attention through an appropriate channel; renewed consent will be requested where required.
